This is a variety of colors and fibers. The colors you can see by looking at the pictures. The fibers are a mixture of blended Alpacas, Merinos, Blue-Faced Leicesters, Tussah Silks and other domestic wools.
To enter the contest simply leave a comment telling me your favorite spinning fiber.
My favorite is Alpaca followed by a tie between Merino and Blue Faced Leicester Wool.
The contest starts November 4, 2009 and ends November 11. I will chose a winner from a random drawing of comments. Be sure to leave contact information (e-mail address or blog site) so that I can notify the winner. Good luck and remember to leave contact information. You wouldn't believe how many people enter blog giveaways and never leave contact information.
Happy spinning,
Phyllish
P.S.
I forgot to mention that it's a 5 ounce bag of Little Ditties.

I don't have a favorite fibre, as I don't spin :-) But I know someone who does LOL
That pink you have is a fabulous color :-)
Hmm... I haven't had an opportunity to spin many fibers but so far superwash merino is my fav. Your batts looks beautiful I am off to look at your etsy store!
Your batts look luscious! I love blended fibers and would have to say BFL is my favorite for relaxed spinning and shine and superfine merino is my favorite for a soft finished yarn. I hope to get to spin some of your fibers someday soon!
Wow, what a nice giveaway. I no longer have any spinning fibers at all...never had a preference because I like 'chunky' for weaving and basketry. I still have 2 spining wheels as well as a hand spindle even though I have nothing to spin with...oh yes...I DO have a tiny bit of natural dyed rovings could try that. Will have to go see your Etsy shop right now!
hi, love the ditties, I've not really got a favourite fibre as a new spinner I tend to fall in love with whatever I spin next but must admit that the camel/merino mis is going nicely on one of the drop spindles:-)
Ooh, pretty stuff!
My favorite fiber is BFL. There are definitely others I love - Polwarth, Masham - but I always come back to BFL. Love it.
I'm totally a sw merino and merino/tencel girl. Anything soft and slick for drafting is my friend. :)
Love your batts!
Merino/Silk blends are my crack. Can't get enough of them.
My favorite fiber would actually have to be Cormo wool. It's bouncy and the spun yarn knits into a wonderfully squishy item.
One of my other favorites is Suri Alpaca, it's a bit difficult to come by, but it's wonderful. So silky and soft, with a great amount of drape. It begs to be made into lightweight scarves.
I have to confess my favorite changes. Right now, I can't get enough Falkland. Nice, crisp hand. Spins up like a breeze!
I'm pretty much a beginner and haven't tried spinning the full range of fibres, but my favourites so far are Blue Faced Leicester and Corriedale.

Hello!
I have only tried a few different fibers... I love the way BFL spins but I LOVE the way Merino feels :) I can't wait to try different fibers. Your fibers are beautiful!
I am a newbie spinner. I have only been spinning since February, when my husband bought me a wheel for my birthday! Anyway, I love Merino, Alpaca, Icelandic, and my all-time fave, BFL!!!
My email is tricia2475@yahoo.com
Hmm, probably superwash merino or a merino/silk blend. Then again, I haven't been very adventurous and tend to spin the same fibers over and over again.
Hm, I'm not sure what my favorite fiber to spin is yet, as I've only drop spindle spun so far and am not near all the little scraps of paper that tell me what I've used. After I learn to use my wheel and plow through the VAST quantities of fiber stashed in my house (lots of types of wool, some yak, some alpaca, some llama, some pygora (?), some silk, some geeze I can't remember what all else...), I'll have a better idea!
damons [at] gci [dot] net
good idea Phyllis!! Umm, my favorites (since I have to choose ;) would be merino and bfl. You ditty batts look very lucious indeed!!
beautiful!
my fav spinning fibers are BFL or Romney for socks and i have this nice merino/tencel blend that was amazing to work with. i just got some yummy lookign Jacob too that i can't wait to play with
My favorite is BFL, followed by leicester longwool...I like nice textury sheepy wools :-)
My favorite fiber for relaxed spinning is hand-combed Texel, followed by Polypay. That being said it is hard to beat BFL and merino. I am a relatively new spinner so am looking forward to trying new breeds.
Thanks for the opportunity to win those beautiful batts!
Greetings,
I am a new-ish spinner haven't
tried BFL yet, have tried merino,
and silk. Perhaps a blend of merino
and silk is on the list.
Love your colours!
love your batts! My favorite fibre is Frisian milk sheep. Not sure itÅ› known in other countries. It's nice and long, plenty of crimp and I bet itÅ› finer than merino! But honoustly, as long as it's soft and spinnable, I love any fibre!

Hi Phyllis, my very favorite fiber to spin is silk, closely followed by a beautiful Romney/mohair blend.
And I bet if I won your giveaway, I'd like yours a lot too!
You can reach me at sheilabb@verizon.net, SheilaSpins on Ravelry.
We have some different fibres here in NZ, and you have some I haven't tried yet :) My favourite so far is Alpaca, Merino and bamboo blends!
My contact is Supermadknitter on Ravelry.
Your colors are gorgeous! It is easier to tell you that I don't like spinning cotton, cashmere, cat hair, or other short, slick fibers. Cashmere is great if blended with merino or silk. Thank you for posting on Ravelry!
So far, BFL is my favorite fiber to spin. To be fair, I have not tried them all. To be fair, I am trying to try them all.
So far I have acquired a drop spindle but as yet I haven't been able to afford any fibre to spin with it :o( I would happily give anything a go if it meant I could give my spindle its first whirl, so I am crossing my fingers

What a fantastic giveaway! I haven't had the opportunity to spin many of the great fibers out there yet... But, so far my absolute favorite is alpaca. It was so soft and easy to draft, and I love how it looks after the twist is set.
My favorite is a merino/silk blend.
I also like BFL, merino and alpaca. My least favorite so far would be camel.
I am a newbie, but I do love merino batts. I also love adding in assorted crazy fibers to add to the art yarn look.
heidig@gmail.com
My favorite fiber is BFL, followed closely by Merino.
My favorite is Tussah Silk. It is just like butter in my wheel. If I had to choose a favorite wool it would be Corriedale.
emily.salmons@gmail.com
I've only used my new drop spindle once so far with some corriedale which was beautiful and soft but I have big plans for my spinning next year and I hope I can become good enough to justify trying silk. Mmmm.
firechick1405(at)gmail(dot)com
Your batts are always beautiful! I have such a hard time picking just one fiber that I like the best, but when it comes down to it, I'm still in love with BFL. It was the first fiber I spun with that I actually felt like I had made real yarn with. So it will always have a soft spot for me.
Being a new spinner, I haven't tried a whole lot of different fibers. Tussah silk and cotton were hard to control, Corriedale and Coopworth were nice as is superwash merino, but I really like spinning BFL top in natural. So far that's my favorite.
stringplayer on Ravelry
wow, what is this beginning spinner's fave fiber? Let's see, I have spindle-spun and wheel-spun some alpaca (very slippery), a little bit of CVM (very nice and easy), a little bit of gulf coast sheep (I didn't do too well with it), and some Jacob fleece (very nice). As far as my favorite fiber, I can't say! I'm way too new at this to really have a favorite. Each fiber taught me new things: slippery fiber = draft with the gentlest hand; seemingly short fiber = draft and spin quickly or pull it apart over and over and over....; very nice fiber = what am I doing wrong that this is so much easier than the ones I had a hard time with!?!?!?
So you see, to a newbie, even the better spinning fibers leave me feeling insecure! Can't I just love them all for what they each teach me???!
Fabulous colors! My favorite spinning fiber is carbonized bamboo, but I love most other fibers, too (of course!).
So far I'm with you on BFL, but I also love Merino/Silk, yummy!
This is easy, it has to be BFL, because it's all I've spun. I'm not sure what the fiber I learned to spin with was, but I'm now spinning my first for-real BFL fiber, and loving it. I'd love to win all these new experiences, thanks for having this very generous giveaway.
I've only spun somthing simply labeled "wool", some Merino and some BFL. I think because I'm so new to spinning, the BFL is my favorite, as it seemed to draft very easily. Or maybe they all do and I just need more experince?!? This would be a great way to find out. Thanks for the giveaway, and for offering such a great prize.
Add me to the fans of BFL :)
What lovely colors! Alpaca is my favorite to spin - so soft. I can be reached on Ravelry as woolkitty.
Heather
I have only spun on BFL and merino and my favourite is merino. Love the soft colours of your batts :)
Oh, oh, oh, I don't know - there are so MANY!
BFL is great and can be used for a variety of things.
I haven't spun all the fibres that are out there yet, so I can't possibly pick LOL
At the moment BFL is my favorite, but I'm a very fickle person. Seems that whatever beautifully blended fiber I'm working on at the moment is my fave of the day.
I am really enjoying a soy milk, BFL, alpaca blend. It spind beautifully and makes great yarn!
I love alpaca. BFL is nice too. Love the colors you have.
my favorite spinning fiber has to be alpaca. Especially alpaca mixed with something more crimpy to give it a better hand without compromising the softness and warmth.
Michelleskass @ gmail . com
Your batts look delish...I've just recently started my love affair with batts :) My favorite fiber to spin? That's a tough question...but I really like Finn roving or top, or a nice Merino/silk or merino/tencel combo. I'm learning to love the bamboo as well....all fiber is good fiber, right?
I don't think I've spun enough to have a favourite! I know that I loved spinning BFL, and the soysilk is beautiful, as is the tencel I just did. unexpectedly the Alpaca I am currently spinning isn't so great. I think it has too much dye residue in it. Hopefully the batts I just made from Alpaca fleece I cleaned myself will be better!
Lianne(dot)tanner(at)gmail(dot)com
I'm still a pretty new spinner, so don't have a fave yet; but I will say that I do prefer to spin *well prepared* fibers!
I haven't spun that many different fibres. I'm trying to learn to work with cotton on my charkha but on my wheels my favourite is a merino/silk blend.
My favorite is CVM/Romeldale. Spin it fine long draw, ply, and you have yarn that feels like elastic bands it stretches so well.
My absolute favorite fiber was a Jacob fleece. SO soft, shiny and the right amount of loft. I've spun other Jacobs, but this one particular fleece was superior to the rest. I had a tiny bit of Cormo that might have tied, but I didn't have enough to make a good opinion. Second would be a Merino/Tencel top. Sadly, I forgot the name of the vender who dyed it.
copper_toad@yahoo.com
I love Finn! I'm fond of it because that is the wool given to us in a learn-to-spin class. I also like BFL a lot. And I love your blog!
I think my favorite spinning fiber is merino/silk, and second is corriedale. Your batts are really pretty, I'll have to check out your shop! (PossumOfTheGrotto on ravelry)
I love the way your batts look, smooth and well-blended but with a nice depth of color - wonderful!
How to chose which fiber - love the commercial merino top I recently spun but also really enjoyed the shetland and jacob from a local farmer, alpaca is in the love mix too.
thanks, Lisa

Hi Phyllis,
My favorite fiber is... all of them! As long as they are soft. I have to admit that I love anything from the camelid family.
62 comments already! Sadly my wheel still hasn't arrived. Schacht has been in production on their bukly plyer flyer and my wheel has been on hold... but with the drop spindle I loved how the superwash merino spun, washed, knit and wore. Can't wait to try more fibers!
well, i don't like to be so ambiguous, but i really like wool! most wools, any wools. i also i'm trying to learn to love to spin cotton, but that's taking quite a long time! ;)

so far my favorites are CVM and Rambouillet!
I just started spinning, but so far my favorite is a silk & merino blend.

I love your yarn! I just discovered your site. Will definitely visit again and again.
Feel free to visit my profile at Ravelry: Cottonblossom.
I just got my used spinning wheel, and was going to write you, so this is perfect! What a wonderful giveaway. I am going to a spinner's house a few times and she is going to show me the ropes. She is the one that I bought her older wheel from, and it is in wonderful condition. Anyways, I love Alpaca the best, as she showed me some.
Micki
My favorite? Gosh, that's difficult! I really love merino and BFL, but recently discovered CVM which is also very nice. Would have to go with merino if pressed -- though I'll spin it all.
Lovely contest -- thanks so much for the opportunity to be a part of it. :o)
I can't pick a favorite song or favorite composer so it's no suprise I can't pick a favorite fiber.
My list of favorites would include bfl, rambo, alpaca, tussah silk and almost anything blended with tussah silk. I don't use my gmail account much, joanne at fiberfan dot com or joannenonum on ravelry
my absolute favorite spinning fiber is silk top........smooth enough to slide against itself, toothy enough to grip when needed, strong enough to spin thread on a medium-weight dropspindle while walking..........
gorgeous.
I'd say Merino is my favorite to spin right now. I just finished some Icelandic wool that turned out scratchy so that's not a fave.
My favorite is merino. I use a drop spindle (and am still fairly new), so I find merino super soft, but still easy to use.
I love shetland currently making sock yarn with some. I also enjoy jacob haven't made anything from it but I enjoyed spinning it.
Gosh, I'm number 75 already. My favourite would have to be marino. Thanks so much for a great giveaway

Wool is my favorite. No preference as to what kind of wool.

well... I'm still new to spinning, but the yarn I've made with some Romney turned out fluffy and wonderful. I can imagine alpaca is a dream though! Thanks!
knitmit on rav.
Beautiful fibers on display in your shop! I can't say I've spun a lot of different fibers but merino is still my favorite so far. The two that I'd love to try are tussah and alpaca but haven't had the opportunity yet. :)
Organicstills on Rav.
merino and alpaca, haven't spun in awhile but I took out some roving and a spindle and gave it a whirl the other day!
I don't have a favorite...yet!

I'd love to try spinning with these! I'm globalite on Ravelry.
OH! I want! So pretty!
Fav. fiber? Well I have only ever spun one fiber... wool. Can't say it is my fav considering I have no comparisons.
I am MamaMay on Ravelry.
I just have a drop spindle, and just started - so I'm not sure what my favorite is yet! I love your colors though - they're beautiful!
I'm naughtyknots on rav
Beautiful colors!
I think my favorite is a tie between merino/tencel and bamboo roving
I'm jaguarrior on rav!
I do not have a favorite yet I just started, but when I crochet I love to use the Alpaca, and if I ever get my hands on Alpaca fiber I am sure it would be my favorite. I have been using a drop spindal and am looking forward to getting a wheel, but that might be a while still.
